A year ago my mom learned she was pregnant with me. She told me it was the best 8th of March so far, until today.
I am happy to be a girl and be part of a family that valued education. I am proud to have had a grand-grandmother who wanted all her children to go to university as she was denied this right, to have a grandmother that was a pediatrician and a mom that studied engineering and tought students when most did not care for proper knowledge. But not in all branches of my family tree were women sustained to persue higher education, and I hope this will never repeat!
